An evening of four sound performances will be presented in the spaces of Liebling Haus, offering viewers extended observation, listening, and presence through sound, light, instrument playing, and resonance. They will take place on the roof, at Har, in the arch, and the salon. This is the final performance of the School of the City exhibition "Everything We've Learned So Far."

Participants: Michal David and Adi Shachar, Ran Nahmias, Yarden Shahar, and Guy Sherf.

Black Seeds / Ran Nahmias

Black Seeds is a sound-plastic work featuring theremin, speaker membrane, and cello. The work echoes impressions and thoughts on the connection between art, society, nationalism, and war. The theremin is a musical instrument that operates without human touch. It was invented in 1924 by physicist and musician Lev Sergeyevich Termen, aka Leon Theremin. The instrument is based on an electromagnetic field that converts the presence of the human body in space into audible sound.

vs.wav / Yarden Shachar

vs.wav is an experimental electronic instrument that offers an intuitive playing experience. The device produces a harmonic pentatonic scale through free contact with a conductive structure, creating a performative interaction between humans and technology. The work balances mechanical and organic components, blending emotion, curiosity, and a unique design language.

Development and design: Yarden Shachar.

Round Table / Guy Sherf

A round table with eight integrated instruments provides a space for listening and playing together, creating spontaneous music that evolves through dialogue with additional instruments. The table was inspired by the African mbira—an ancient instrument believed, according to tradition, to summon the spirits of the ancestors.

Performers: Reut Harel and Guy Sherf.

Resonance / Michal David and Adi Shachar

A sound and light performance exploring the relationship between source and resonance through voice, sound, light, and shadow, which shape together within the boundaries of one time and space. The performance will resonate within the Har space in the Liebling Haus shelter, with sound moving between produced materials, samples, records, and singing pieces inspired by astrological events, spiraling and receding in unison with light play, reflections, projections, and shadows.
