Living by Geddes: A Tour of the Hous Exhibitions

A guided tour at Liebling Haus through the exhibition “Life, Plant, City: 100 Years of Geddes' Plan for Tel Aviv's Garden City.” The tour follows Patrick Geddes’ vision, from the historic plan for a Mediterranean garden city to present-day planning and development challenges in Tel Aviv.

During the tour, we explore Liebling Haus as both a preserved historic building and a living exhibition space. We examine how the building’s everyday functions are integrated into the exhibition. The tour includes original planning documents and Geddes’ diagrams, alongside contemporary photographs of Tel Aviv. It also features a project that imagines the future Garden City, as well as research materials, books, and artistic interpretations by artists from around the world. These works relate to the Garden City and to other projects planned by Geddes internationally.

The tour concludes on the rooftop, with a view of Tel Aviv’s skyline and reflections on the future of the city’s urban vision.
