Gallery Tour with the Curators of the Exhibition “Life, Plant, City"

A guided tour of the exhibition “Life, Plant, City: 100 Years of Geddes' Plan for Tel Aviv's Garden City”, led from the curatorial perspectives of Shira Levy Benyemini and architect Limor Yossifon-Goldman.

During the tour, the curators will discuss the curatorial and design decisions that transformed a preserved residential building into a living exhibition. We will explore how the building’s various domestic functions are integrated into the visitor experience, and examine archival documents and diagrams that reflect Patrick Geddes’s ideas—from their historical context, through contemporary realities, and a project envisioning the future Garden City.

The tour will move through the different floors of the house, including the Geddes Library and the Research Lab, as well as galleries presenting works by approximately 30 artists from Israel and around the world, who have created multidisciplinary interpretations of the Garden City and of projects in which Geddes was involved globally. The tour will conclude on the rooftop, overlooking Tel Aviv’s skyline and contemplating the future of the urban vision.
