Olivetti - Perspective (Italy, 2020)

Liebling Haus and the Italian Institute of Culture in Tel Aviv cordially invite you to the documentary film Olivetti - Perspective (Italy, 2020). The screening will be preceded with a short introduction by Arch. Dana Gordon, a graduate of Interaction Design in Ivrea, Italy. The screening corresponds with the exhibition Olivetti- Beyond the Typewriter now showing at the Julia Mizrahi Vitrine Gallery at HIT, Holon Institute of Technology.

In the film, Davide Maffei charts the developments and innovations made by Olivetti in the 1960s to 1990s, a period known as post-Adriano (Olivetti).

The film begins in Ivrea, a small city which from the 1930s Adriano Olivetti turned into a social project. The unique story of the Olivetti company is presented through the ground breaking architecture of its factories and offices, and its stylish showrooms that looked like art galleries and gave the company its international edge. The film describes these spaces, which were built in the 1960s-1980s, and now contain new life and energy.
