The second evening in the Urban Kibbutz series posits urban space not only as a physical framework for housing but also as a social arena. It focuses on the architectural and planning aspects of these residential areas. We will ask how to design surroundings that nurture a sense of community, how to plan spaces that allow collaboration and resource sharing, and which new alternatives are inspiring today for creating sustainable urban communities.

Experts and residents from Tel Aviv-Yafo and Frankfurt will exchange ideas, present case studies, and explore architectural, social, and economic solutions. Join us in shaping and testing models that combine shared infrastructure, democratic management, and innovative sustainable housing design suited to the needs of modern urban societies.

Urban Kibbutz – Affordable Housing is a series of four meetings at Liebling Salon. The Salon was created to spark discussion about preserving the essence of Tel Aviv-Yafo during this period of rapid transformation. The gatherings focus on tackling contemporary challenges in urban housing, especially as the city's historical layers take on new significance and the conflict between the old and the new intensifies.
