The roof floor

The rooftop is an important integral part of the design of the city's historical fabric. The use and configuration of this floor reflect architectural and social values and their change over the years. The study chronologically reviews the use and configuration of the rooftop and the architectural elements that characterize it - from the 1990s to the 1960s. It examines the factors influencing the construction and use of the city's rooftops, and catalogs those architectural elements, their use and their typology. The work is a tool for locating, preserving and restoring architecturally valuable elements on the roofs of the historic city and for the renewal of the historic city while preserving the "genetic code" of the existing unique texture.
