Post Modernism in Tel Aviv-Jaffa: survey by facade analysis

The 1980s and 1990s in Israel brought great political, economic and social changes in Israel, and affected its built space. Theories that dealt with postmodernism in general and deconstruction in particular that developed abroad, as a response to modernism since the sixties, arrived in Tel Aviv in the years 1980-1990 and influenced its built space. The construction of post-modern buildings and new complexes as well as the declaration of buildings for preservation in the 80s and 90s turned Tel Aviv into a multi-layered city that looks at its past and its historical layers.
